How to join my online Zoom classes

Book your class via my website which will take you through to my Booking page.

Join the class using the unique Zoom link provided in the booking confirmation email.

If you have never used Zoom and would like to have a practice run before you join a class, please get in touch, I will be happy to help.

Cameras and microphones

  • Adjust camera position and angle, so your camera is pointing away from you.
  • Consider using virtual backgrounds or blurring your background, if you feel self-conscious about your surroundings. Zoom offers these features in Settings.
  • If you are not comfortable turning on your camera, use your microphone to confirm that we have a connection.
  • You don't need to be on camera to enjoy all the benefits of my classes.
  • Once a connection has been established, I will put all participants on mute when class
begins. Once I have muted all microphones, only participants can unmute themselves
at the end of class if they wish to say goodbye.

If you are someone who would like to try my live online Zoom classes, but the thought of being on camera is rather daunting, here are a few suggestions that may help you to feel more comfortable.

Yoga philosophy

Yoga is an ancient practice that unites body, mind and spirit through physical, mental and spiritual disciplines. The
word yoga comes from the Sanskrit yuj, meaning 'to yoke' or 'to unite', reflecting the connection between the individual
self and universal consciousness.

While yoga’s roots lie in ancient India, some modern styles, like Yin Yoga, also draw from Chinese traditions. Though a contemporary practice, Yin Yoga is influenced by Taoist philosophy and the concept of energy moving through the body’s meridians.

Yoga offers many health benefits, helping to ease sleep issues, headaches, anxiety and depression, while improving posture, flexibility, strength and mental clarity.

Reiki philosophy

Reiki originated in Japan – Rei means
'universal' or 'source' and Ki is the vital life energy that flows through all living things. Everything in the universe, including our bodies, is made of energy. Reiki is a gentle, natural practice that supports deep
relaxation, self-healing and balance
for the mind, body and spirit.

The practitioner simply acts as a channel for this energy, helping to reduce stress and anxiety, promote better sleep and clear energetic blockages. Reiki can also be sent across time and space, allowing the Reiki energy to be received anywhere in the world just as powerfully as in person.
